"He was determined to leave behind the street life, gangs, drugs, and crime - and become a positive example for others."
While incarcerated, Donta enrolled in and successfully completed numerous rehabilitation and educational programs, including the Cognitive Group Intervention Program, Thinking for a Change, an Employability Course, a Fatherhood Program, and many more.
Donta also became a tutor and began helping other incarcerated men work toward earning their high school diplomas. He wanted to use his experiences to encourage others to make positive changes in their own lives.
Donta also became more health-conscious while incarcerated. He developed workout routines for himself and other prisoners, the routines were so effective that they inspired him to pursue his goal of becoming a personal trainer.
After his release from prison in July 2024, Donta started his own personal training business, Tight'N Up. He did not return to the street life, gangs, drugs, or criminal activity.
Instead, he focused on building his business and being an active father to his four daughters.

🚩Emily was not at the “NO CUP PARTY.” She said she heard it from someone else. This is another false claim.😡

⚠️The Administrative Law Judge (ALJ) did not appear to conduct a thorough review of the case and seemed to have reached a predetermined decision.⚠️
Second Approach: Administrative Law Judge Review of the Case 🤯
🚨The Administrative Law Judge issued a decision finding that Emily’s allegations were not credible, with one exception. That exception appears to relate to an issue from the first hearing, where the testimony was not reviewed.🚨

We are asking for justice.
Bringing Donta's Story to the Public
The evidence and arguments concerning Donta's case were presented during the revocation proceedings and appeals. Donta and his family believe that the evidence demonstrating inconsistencies and false allegations was not given the consideration it deserved. They believe that the decision to keep Donta incarcerated resulted in a miscarriage of justice.
We are now bringing Donta's case to the public because we want people to know he is not the only person going through similar court situations, something needs to be changed.
Donta and his family have missed out on so many precious moments—birthdays, holidays, milestones that can never be replaced. His children are growing up without their father missing years of love, laughter, and moments that they will forever cherish. His fiancée is forced to live life without her partner by her side. These are wounds that don’t heal—they only deepen with time.
This hasn’t just been emotional… it’s been a financial burden too. Over $11,000 has been spent just trying to stay connected and fight for his freedom—attorney fees, commissary, calls, visits. Imagine paying that much just to hold on to someone you love , still being held in prison for some bull-crap.
And the truth is, Donta is not alone. Thousands of Black men are wrongfully convicted at rates far higher than anyone else. This is not just a statistic—this is real life, real families, real pain. Even today, people are being locked away without true justice being served.
This is bigger than one man. This is about fairness. This is about doing what’s right.
We are asking you from the bottom of our hearts—please stand with us. Please sign the petition. Help us bring Donta home.
Because his family deserves him. And he deserves justice. He will be doing much more than playing in a sandbox!

Ever since the day that he was released I’ve seen nothing but a changed man. Most of the time he wouldcome visit the kids and just come and hang out and ask me a million questions about my service in Iraq.I’ve seen him do things I’ve never saw him do like turn down going out with his friends, actually sitting down long enough to watch a couple movies, and even going to church. Church was the biggest shocker to me. I’m a hard person to impress and I can truly say that Donta has really impressed me. It was like a day and night change with him. Wouldn’t put my name on the line for a lot of people out here but for this guy right here I’ll go to hell and back. Free Donta!

"the person who made the allegations against him is a white woman named Emily Determan. Donta is a Black man, I believe that is racial, bias and stereotypes surrounding Black men accused of wrongdoing by white women are important issues that deserve to be examined."
— Courtney Moss
"Being charged without a new charge, insane"
— Donta's previous attorney
"From the looks of things,
Donta had briefly separated from the mother of his children, and during that time he began dating Emily. Donta eventually reconciled with the mother of his children and ended his relationship with Emily. According to the records this is a love triangle and Emily felt rejected and became angry after the relationship ended. They believe that her anger contributed to the allegations that ultimately resulted in Donta being returned to prison." HE IS INNOCENT

" I feel like Donta's ex Emily got mad when she find out that he moved on so that's when she got to lying on him. The family misses him and so does his kids this is so unfair"

"Emily definitely tried to buy his presence! Karma will deal with her sooner or later, free bro"

TO THE HONORABLE TONY EVERS, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF WISCONSIN
RE: PETITION FOR COMMUTATION OF SENTENCE - DONTA LOCKHART
Dear Governor Evers,
We respectfully request that you exercise your executive clemency powers to commute the sentence of Donta Lockhart and grant him the opportunity to return home to his family and community.
Donta was born and raised on the North Side of Milwaukee. After serving five years on a robbery charge, he was released in July 2024.
During his incarceration, Donta made a definitive choice to change his life. He completed numerous rehabilitation programs -including Cognitive Group Intervention and Thinking for a Change -tutored fellow inmates, and developed health routines that inspired his career goals.
Upon release, Donta did exactly what the justice system hopes for: he became an active father, launched his own personal training business (Tight'N Up), and maintained a clean record. According to Donta and his supporters, he had zero police contact and was not charged with a single new crime.
Yet, on September 12, 2024, his Extended Supervision was revoked based on allegations that his family and supporters maintain are demonstrably false and inconsistent. He was returned to prison for approximately three and a half years without facing any new criminal charges. His family has now spent over two years and more than $11,000 in legal fees fighting a revocation they believe is a miscarriage of justice.
Donta has proven he is capable of profound positive change. We ask that you review the evidence, the inconsistencies in the allegations.

Respectfully submitted
